52 – River Teme – Shelsley Beauchamp

Brief description of fishery:

Mixture of shallows and deep Holes. Heavy tree growth along the banks can make it difficult to find pitches. Some good sized Barbel have been caught on this stretch. Good grayling fishing.
Main species: Chub, Barbel, Dace, Roach. Occasional Bream, Trout, Salmon and Grayling.
Trout season 18th March to 7th October.
Accessibility good to reasonable, beware of livestock.
Key Points: Park so as not to cause obstruction. Fishing in front of the house below the bridge is prohibited. Beware of Power lines on right bank.. Parking available at the Social Club.

Access & Parking

The parking areas are suitable for two to four cars. Use discretion and do not cause any obstructions. Additional parking means that it is not too far to the next parking area if an area is already full. Both left and right bank available, right bank only above Brockhill Court and below the bridge.
Left bank owned by the Club from Newmill Bridge to just below Brockhill Court approximately 1224yds. Right bank from below Newmill Bridge to top of the meadow opposite Brockhill Court approximately 2066yds.
Located aproximately 1.9 miles from Stanford Bridge at SO 720633, there is a track and parking on the right by the barn. Access is directly across the field to the river. Approximately ⅓ mile further on just through Shelsley Walsh as you pass the last buildings, there is a field SO 723630. Parking is just inside the gate and access is along the hedge and then directly across the field.
Access from the Shelsley Beauchamp side of the River can be gained as follows. There is parking and access at the Social Club SO 729631. Access can be gained at Newmill Bridge SO 729624 for both sides of the river upstream. There is also parking on the grass verge by Newmill Bridge. Fishing in front of the cottage below Newmill Bridge is prohibited. Access
can also be gained to the stretch below Newmill Bridge SO 728624 by walking behind the cottage.
