109 – Charlton Pool – Hartlebury

Brief description of fishery:

This fishery is an established estate lake set in the grounds of Hartlebury
Castle. There are seven purpose built pegs along the east side of the pool.
As well as carp there are a number of other established species at this
venue. Fishing only from the side marked in red.

UNHOOKING MATS MUST BE USED.

Main species: Carp. Roach, Bream, Tench, Perch, Pike, Eels.
Accessibility: Good. A Reasonable walk of approximately 260 yards to
the pool from the visitor car park. Wheel barrows and trolleys would
be useful. There is a slope from the first gate down to the second gate

Access & Parking

The fishery can be found on the Hartlebury Castle and Museum site off the B4193. The Ordnance Survey grid reference for the entrance is SO 838 709. Drive along the tree lined avenue until you come the main visitors car park on the right. That is where we are required to park. The castle will be directly in front. To the left is the gate and cattle grid into the meadow. Once you have walked round the outside wall to the rear far corner of the coach house grounds, there will be two padlocked gates with the same combination as our other locked venues
